FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Most of our programs are individual tuition however parents usually attend with their child. It is common for us to teach more than one child in the family in the same lesson while they are doing the Basic Language and Learning Program.
We can teach you anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer with a good internet connection. Our online meeting rooms enable us to talk to each other, and see each other, as if we were in our office. We can also see each other’s computer screens and share a whiteboard. Working online can be even more effective than face-to-face because students often concentrate better when working on a computer because they need to manage their computer as well as attend to the lesson.
Our approach is quite different from standard tutoring because we are not just helping the child with their homework – after carefully diagnosing the causes of their difficulties we fix their educational problems so they can excel at school and do their homework themselves. Improvements become obvious within a few weeks when you work with us.
We encourage people to look at this issue from the point of view of their goals for their child. It is not how much it costs that matters, but what value you get. If you are not getting the benefits from the school fees you already pay and you want your child to do well then our fees are seen as a protection of the investment you are already making in the school fees.
We understand. We know you wouldn’t even be reading this now if you hadn’t already tried to do something yourself. What you need to understand is that you were working in the dark before because you didn’t have the appropriate skills or training you needed to teach your child successfully. We will provide you with a step-by-step program that enables you to develop a strong positive relationship with your child at the same time as helping them overcome their educational difficulties. How? We provide you with simple strategies to follow, often while playing fun educational games with your child.
Many people get through school without learning good skills and want to do something about it when they are older. Our programs are easily adapted so they are suitable for people of any age.
Many of our clients arrive with labels such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Austic, Auditory Processing Disorder, Central Processing Disorder, Speech Delay, Gross and Fine Motor Skill Delay . . . the list goes on and on! It is our belief that all of these disorders are symptoms of other underlying causes. They are descriptions of the key symptoms, BUT they do not explain WHY the child has got these symptoms. We carefully diagnose the causes of problems so we can plan the right program to fix them. You get to sit in during the diagnostic session so you will be able to see for yourself what the real causes of the problems that you have been living with are.
There is no simple answer. It depends on what program you need to do and how long you take to do it. If you want to make rapid progress all you need to do is have a disciplined approach to doing the activities that we set you to do between lessons with us. We can be more specific once we know more about your needs. You can apply for a Free 15 Minute Consultation to discuss your needs here.
You can withdraw from your program at any time. You only need to pay for lessons that you have booked. If at any time you don’t think you are getting great value from our programs we encourage you to bring it up with us immediately. We only want to work with clients who are happy to work with us as a team.
Especially in the early stages of working with us, it is common for us to work with a number of children from the family at the same time. In fact there are advantages of working with more than one child at a time. The additional fee for each extra child is nominal so it doesn’t cost much more to do all three at the same time. We are committed to helping all of your family succeed so your family as a whole becomes happier and more productive.
